Ballet Step
Step. A step is used in classical ballet as a connecting movement to transfer the weight from one leg to the other. It is usually preceded by a fondu on the supporting leg and the foot taking the step is pointed before being placed on the floor. The step can begin with a stretched leg or with a developpe.
