Small jump close to the floor on the point of one foot with the other leg raised in any pose at 45 degrees or in an arabesque at 90 degrees. Dancer’s foot of the supporting leg is held taut with the knee remaining slightly bent in the jump. Performed as series, in place, traveling forward or backward, turning in place.
