ROND DE JAMBE A TERRE DEMI EN DEHORS JACKLYN DOUGHERTY #learnballet#jacklyndougherty @howtoballet For more ballet visit https://www.jacklyndougherty.com/ "Rond de jambe a terre demi en dehors" is a classical ballet term that means "round of the leg, half, on the floor, outward". It is a common step used in ballet class and performances. In a rond de jambe, one leg moves in a straight line away from the body before executing a semi-circular motion. It can be performed en dehors or en dedans. En dehors takes the leg from the front to the back, and en dedans takes the leg from the back to the front. Rond de jambe can be performed with the working foot and leg either on the floor or off the floor. It is an exercise that promotes proper rotation. Much love, Jacklyn Dougherty
